Description
This is a scarce 1903 tourist pocket map of Paris, France. It covers the old walled city of Paris and its immediate vicinity. It reflects the transformation and modernization of Paris under Napoleon III and Georges-Eugene Haussmann. Major streets, monuments, bridges, parks, gardens, etc. are noted. The left and right margins include profiles of several important buildings including the Hotel de Ville, Sacre- Coeur, la Madeleine, Trocadero, Bourse, Opera and the Eiffel Tower. This map was issued in 1903.
Condition
Very good. Minor wear along original fold lines. Minor spotting. Professionally flattened and backed with archival tissue.
