Highlighting the French Alps, coverage embraces from Louhans, France, south to the Mediterranean Sea and from Lyon, France, east to Turin and San Remo, Italy. Ski resorts are identified, including the concentration around Chamonix. Icons mark chateaus, religious buildings, Roman ruins, and other sites. Mountains, cities, and towns are named. Eight proposed automobile itineraries are detailed on the verso.

This map was created by Sofcar and published by the Ministère des Travaux Publics des Transports et du Tourisme and the Direction Générale du Tourisme.
