This is a c. 1987 Little Barn Graphics Company poster of Bromley Mountain ski resort, Vermont. A beautiful sunrise highlights Bromley Mountain with its many ski runs. The scene is covered in a thick blanket of snow.
Bromley Mountain
Bromley Mountain is a ski resort in southern Vermont in the town of Peru, Bennington County. The first ski runs were cut by the Works Progress Administration in 1934, and Fred Pabst Jr (son of Frederick Pabst, founder of Pabst Brewing Company) opened the Little Bromley Ski Area in 1938. A J-bar surface list opened in January 1943, and a chairlift to the summit opened in 1958. Pabst invested in a snowmaking system in 1964, and it was advertised as the world's largest system at the time. Pabst Jr. retired in 1971. An aggressive expansion campaign took place in 1974, but in 1977, after Pabst Jr. died, Bromley was sold. It sold several times between 1977 and 1990, when its current owners Joe O'Donnell and Petros Palandijan bought the resort.
