This is a c. 1965 Tropical Inn Motel tourist map of Everglades National Park, Florida, illustrating the southern portion of Florida from Miami to Florida Bay. The boundaries of Everglades National Park are highlighted, with popular sites, hiking trails, and camp sites are identified. The edge of the mangroves is noted as well. Two circular insets situated in the bottom left and right place the Tropical Inn Motel in relation to the nearest towns (Homestead and Florida City) and illustrate the area around the Royal Palm Visitor Center in Everglades National Park.

Verso Map

A map emphasizing the highway network occupies the verso. A sun icon marks the Tropical Inn Motel and popular tourist attractions, including the Serpentarium, Parrot Jungle, and Monkey Jungle, are marked, along with the distances from the motel to these attractions. The entrance to Everglades National Park is labeled, as is Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in the Atlantic Ocean. Pictorial illustrations of tropical birds, fish, and fishing boats add charm.
