An attractive and rare 1859 full length portrait of George Washington in military dress standing with Mount Vernon in the background.
Publication History and Census
The view is based upon a painting by Thomas Hicks (1823 – 1890) and was engraved by Henry Wright Smith (1828 – 18??). A stamp in the lower right identifies this as proof edition. We note a single cataloged example, part of the collection at the Library of Congress.

Condition

Very good. Minor edge soiling. Else clean.
