Description


An appealing 1932 map of Washington D.C. by Foster and Reynolds Company of New York and B. S. Reynolds Company of Washington. This map covers Washington D.C. from the Arlington National Cemetery eastward as far as the Anacostia River and from the National Observatory to the War College (southern tip of Washington). Throughout important buildings and monuments are noted. They city is divided into four sections by red rays emanating from the Capitol Building. A 'Ready Reference Index' is set in the upper right quadrant. This map was first published in 1904 and went through numerous subsequent editions until the end of World War II.
