Richard Scott Dement (January 16, 1921 - January 17, 2004) was a San Francisco-based commercial artist active in the second half of the 20th century. Dement was born and educated in Seattle, Washington. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II (1939 - 1945). After the war he settled in San Francisco, where he worked as a commercial artist for a department store. His only known surviving work is a large bird's-eye view of San Francisco. He died in 2004 in Redmond, Washington.
