Edward Meredith Hawkins (June 14, 1909 - March 31, 1981) was an American commercial artist and mapmaker active in the mid-19th century. Hawkins was born in Eutaw, Alabama. We can trace little of his early years, but by the 1940s he was employed with the H. and W. B. Drew Company, a mapmaking concern based in Jacksonville, Florida. Also designed the first Official Road Map of Florida, published in 1936.
