Merle Eugene Ollom (June 11, 1928 - December 7, 2023) was a San Antonio, Texas-based commercial artist and illustrator. Born and raised in Burt, Iowa, Ollom relocated to San Antonio after graduating high school and began working as a news illustrator and cartoonist for local newspapers and served as an art director for a local office of Motorola. He eventually established his own commercial art company and taught at several local colleges and universities.
