Herman Bryan Poff (December 5, 1910 - August 25, 2015) was a legendary Texas oilman and geologist. Poff was born in 1910. He studied Geology at Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, in the 1940s. Significantly, he participated in the exploration of every major Texas oilfield except Spindletop. In 1953 he became a founding member of the Fort Worth Petroleum Club. He lived to the staggering age of 104.
