Shūeisha (秀英舎; 1876 - 1935) was a Japanese publishing house founded in Tokyo in the early Meiji era. The firm had high ambitions and was among the first to embrace foreign printing technology over traditional woodblock methods. In 1935, it merged with Nisshin Printing (日清印刷) to form the Dai Nippon Printing Co. (大日本印刷, https://www.geographicus.com/P/ctgy&Category_Code=dainipponprinting), a publishing powerhouse that is still one of the industry leaders in Japan today
