The National Committee for the Restoration of Greece (fl. c. 1942– 1944) was an organization based at 30 Rockefeller Center in New York City. Their mission was to promote awareness of the fighting in Greece and increase public support for Greek partisans fighting against the Italian and German occupation forces. Dr. N. G. Mavris served as the Committee's Secretary General and wrote numerous letters to the editor and other short pieces that appeared in newspapers across the United States. The National Committee for the Restoration of Greece also published a weekly newsletter from 1942 until 1944 entitled 'News from Greece'. In the first issue of 'News From Greece' the National Committee for the Restoration of Greece states that their aims are 'to work toward the restoration of free Greece, to contribute in keeping alive the spirit of resistance of the Greek people, to support the foreign policy of the Government of the United States which aims at the rebirth of liberty in the world, and to inform the American public regarding conditions in Greece.'
