GiG (1968 - 2006) was an Italian toy manufacturer founded by Gianfranco Aldo Horvat (1942 - 2009) near Florence in 1968. It became the Italian distributor of brands such as Nintendo, My Little Pony, the Care Bears, and Playmobil. It formed an alliance with the Giochi Preziosi Group in 1994. Horvat sold GiG to Giochi Preziosi in 1999 and left the firm for good in 2003.
